{ Ruby & Alex • 9/21/14 • The Hyatt Chesapeake, Cambridge, MD Wedding }

Ruby and Alex found each other and it was good. I had the privilege of seeing a VERY important chapter in their love story- their wedding day- up close and very personal. Surrounded by family and friends, hand-in-hand, they enjoyed a lovely and meaningful ceremony and celebration. I wish them the best of luck and send my sincerest CONGRATULATIONS!!

{ Emily & Brandon • June 22, 2013 • Cambridge, MD }

For me, Brandon and Emily’s wedding was about love of family. Even the choice of where they were married was family-oriented, her parent’s Eastern Shore home outside Cambridge, MD. On a hot summer day, close family and friends gathered to see them exchange vows against a stunningly beautiful backdrop of  the open water of what I think is Todds Point Creek. After meeting at college, it was a lovely culmination of their time as a couple.

The other thing I found out about them is that they love to travel as evidenced in their choice of exotic honeymoon locations- a South African safari and, oh yes, the Seychelle Islands! So will their favorite local hang out (the Oregon Grille) seem too sedate when they return??! Somehow I think that they are pretty adaptable and will continue the adventure started on their wedding day, but this time as Mr. and Mrs. Munson!!

I think the signs along the lane that greeted their guests as they arrived at the wedding said it best:

Come a little bit closer

We can dream this night away

Looking forward

All I can see is good things happening

To you and me

I wish Emily and Brandon the very best of times together always!

{ Jen and Jeff • The Hyatt Chesapeake • September 16, 2012 }

Jen, Jeff, Beau…. yes, Beau- their dog! It seems to me that Beau has been a very important “person” in their relationship. After all, when Jeff proposed, he tied the ring box to Beau’s collar and sent him to find Jen. When Jen realized that Beau was carrying precious cargo(!), Jeff got down on one knee and, well, you know the rest! Beau was there from the start in a way, since it was Jen’s relationship with Beau- how she cared for him- that was one sweet thing that won Jeff’s heart. So Beau had a front row seat from the beginning and yes, he walked down the aisle at the Hyatt Chesapeake on their wedding day, too. Although he tried mightily not to yawn during the ceremony, he did find a comfortable spot to rest while Jen and Jeff “tied the knot”.

I love it when couples really make their wedding so personal, filling it with their family and friends and yes, even their pets. Somehow it all seems so perfect that they incorporate everything important to them into their day, even Mr. Beau!

Thanks so much, Jen and Jeff, for having Tom and me as a small part of your day. You wanted to have fun on your wedding day, wanted it to be unforgettable and as far as I’m concerned, you got your wish!
