{ Kristin & Jason • October 23, 2011 }

When I think of Kristin and Jason, I think action. It seems to be such a defining thing in their lives- he loves mountain biking, she’s a swimmer and together they’re learning to paddleboard…well you understand, they don’t stay put in one place too long. So it’s not surprising that two such active people should discover to their joy, that they “just fit”. After getting engaged in Atlantic City, they chose The Oaks in Royal Oak, MD as their wedding site. Kristin’s dress was fabulous (you may remember that I’m on a roll with great wedding gowns this fall!) and Jason was so debonair in his tux that when she walked down the dock at the Inn, I had to remember to be their photographer since all I wanted to do was just look at her on her dad’s arm. Everywhere I turned, I saw smiles.

The whole experience was so lovely and fun and so relaxed. I know Kristin wanted it to be that way and I think she got her wish. I’m just thinking about their honeymoon and wondering if they actually went paddleboarding in Costa Rica?!!

{ Lara & David • October 15, 2011 }

I can’t help but wonder if David’s job as a biometrics engineer who works with facial recognition software and stuff like that made looking at Lara’s face during their wedding ceremony even more spectacular! Did he “recognize” pure joy when he saw it??!! I bet so since I’m sure Lara would say that his face reflected hers in mutual excitement and happiness that their wedding day had finally come. With her handsome, tuxedoed son Aidan as her escort down the aisle, Lara walked into the arms of her best friend. And what a bride “fashionista” she was in a beautiful lace dress that looked perfect on her! I love wedding dresses that scream “I’m the bride” and this one met my high standards!! And, Amanda Tate‘s ceremonial words blessed their day and suited the couple to a “T”. After cocktails under the Regatta Pavilion at the Hyatt Chesapeake, everyone walked to the Eagle’s Nest for an intimate and elegant dinner/reception. JulieBakes’ cake was yummy as usual and lovely. Returning from a honeymoon in Kauai, I’m sure made it hard to get back to “normal”- but now the new normal for them is as Mr. & Mrs.! Congratulations!!
