{ Lisa & Trip • May 26, 2013 • St. Michaels Wedding }

It seems to me that Lisa and Trip’s life together is defined by two things- action and peace. Sort of opposites but I think of these two states as being in “balance”. The things they enjoy doing together so often are “action” things- hiking, swimming, bike riding. On the other hand, they like the peace of the outdoors, of watching a good film, the pleasure of spending a lazy, languid Sunday making a breakfast of a homemade pancakes and reading the Post or the Times. Since I’ve met them, I have been amazed at how in tune they are. From their meeting after a “Hot Yoga” session to a romantic St. Michaels weekend when Trip proposed, they have navigated this new, shared life as shining examples of LOVE. And so we come to their wedding day and all is just as I expected- vibrant, fun, sophisticated, elegant, and totally reflective of their taste and style. With The Oaks, the charming Inn near St. Michaels, MD as their premier backdrop, all was lovely for their wedding day. Seaberry Farm outdid itself once again with dramatic centerpieces, fantastic bouquets, sweet boutonnieres, colorful, and natural flower arrangements strategically placed around the Inn- just divine!

Lisa and Trip, I send my best wishes for a wonderful marriage and a happy, peaceful and exciting life together!

{ Alexandra + Cole • May 18, 2013 • The Oaks • St. Michaels, MD Wedding }

Alexandra and Cole are people who enjoy life. And, no surprise here- their wedding was all about just that. My impressions of the day? Tons and tons of smiles, hugs, love, family, friends, love, fun, did I say love?? In any case, I was so happy to be at least a small part of their day. The Oaks, in Royal Oak, MD was the perfect backdrop for the celebration. As always, I loved being there and knowing that everything wedding would be done so well and professionally. And Shirley and Roxanne from Seasonal Flowers had beautiful bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony decor. Julie Hanes of Julie Bakes presented a sophisticated white-on-white cake with the couple’s initials featured.

I think my best memory of the day besides the dancing at the reception is how much I loved Alexandra’s dress. What a fabulous, fluffy, classy gown! This was a dress that said “Excuse me, I’m the BRIDE” and I loved it.

Thanks for being such a great couple to photograph- that always is my “icing on the cake”!!

{ Karin & Justin • May 11, 2013 • Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum }

Karin and Justin’s wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum was exciting, romantic, dramatic and sweet. With a nautical-themed wedding, what better place to be married than a museum dedicated to everything “Chesapeake”? Their wedding had a great laid-back feel, with some drama courtesy of the weather thrown in for good measure. The museum’s gazebo, with the Miles River’s beautiful views on display, offered a gorgeous backdrop to their ceremony.

I love knowing that they knew so quickly that each was the “one” for the other so completely and so early in their relationship! And that they share a love of music and the beach, eating out and just plain having fun together. I can definitely say that their wedding day carried these special loves all through it and that I’m sure that having their closest family and friends around them to share this day meant so much to them. I loved being even a small part of it and loved the drama of the clear-top tent(Atlantic Sailcloth Tent Co.) and their sailboat departure(Sail Selina). Not to mention the yummy food by Gourmet by the Bay and gorgeous florals by Seaberry Farm. The pink flamingo-topped cake was fabulous as always from Julie Bakes.

I wish Karin and Justin the best in married life and that they always are best friends and soul mates.
