{ Kacey & Bobby ~ August 20, 2011 ~ The Oaks

What can I say about such a sweet couple whose first date was to a Harry Potter movie (Goblet of Fire)? That they love long car rides, little mom and pop restaurants, their puppies (Louie and Frankie)? That they love good food, long walks, going to the beach with family and friends? That they got engaged in Great Falls Park after Bobby surprised Kacey by carving their initials into a tree and telling her that this was where he wanted them to bring their kids to show them where they had gotten engaged? Doesn’t that just give you chill bumps??? How about that they knew each other was the “one” as far back as college, where they met?? Or, that their song is Crazy Love and that their ideal thing to do together is to watch the Steelers or the Redskins comfortably snuggling on the couch with their pups curled up beside them?? That their wedding was lovely, fun, classy but simple…their day was beautiful, The Oaks was perfect, Petals outdid themselves with such beautiful flowers, that Julie Bakes created a cake that was gorgeous as well as yummy, which was served with berries and cream. And such a fabulous band-Nightlife– that had everyone up and dancing their hearts out. All was wonderful, but for me, the thing I will remember was Bobby’s welcome speech- heartfelt and not a dry eye in the house! As a parent myself, I can only hope to hear something similar one day…!

{ Callie & Tyler ~ August 13, 2011 }

Callie and Tyler’s wedding reflected all the things they love to do: travel(they chose The Oaks in quaint little Royal Oak, MD as their destination venue), eat well (food at The Oaks is soooo good, take it from me!!) and finally they love doing outdoor activities(their ceremony was at the “Point”, the lovely, peaceful waterside spot at The Oaks between the two tall pines and their cocktails were on the covered dock off the back of the Inn). So as far as I’m concerned, they hit all the right marks! One more thing- Callie looked like a princess in a dress I thought was stunning, feminine and fit her to a “t”. I just had to mention that since I found it extra special. I love wedding dresses!! And if any groom smiled bigger and more often than Tyler, I don’t know who it was. Ear to ear, and was so obviously enjoying all the things happening on his wedding day. Tables were lovely with colorful flowers from Dana at Petals in  St. Michaels and yummy cake by Bay Country Bakery and last but not least, tuneful sounds from DJ Mark Savage and you have a team dedicated to making a bride and groom have the best wedding ever. The sweetest couple and so in love. Enjoy this little sneak peek!!!
