What a wedding! What a blending of two wonderful families! Even a few raindrops couldn’t dampen the celebration for these two lovebirds. Namita and Nick were one of the sweetest couples we’ve worked with, and their pure joy at becoming husband and wife was such a treat. With the Patriot as a nautical backdrop and after saying their vows, everyone enjoyed a delicious Garden and Garnish dinner, they danced the night away along with family and friends. Congratulations Namita and Nick!

{ Edna + Michael • November 18, 2017 • The Tidewater Inn }
I love a good love story! And Edna and Michael embody the very best of any good love story- the prince and princess find each other and fall in love. Ok, I know that may be a little silly but isn’t it wonderful to find inspiration in two people who choose to spend their lives together? Maybe it’s just me, but seeing the love and joy on Edna and Mike’s faces as they went through each part of their wedding day made me feel head-over-heels great! From Edna’s lacey blush pink wedding dress to Mike’s ever-present smile, to their family and friends’ warm hugs and congratulations, it was a wonderful wedding day!
The Tidewater Inn provided a lovely canvas for the affair, overseen by the creative eye of planner extraordinaire Kari Rider. Tables adorned with gorgeous floral arrangements greeted and wowed guests. A stunner of a dessert table starring a multi-tiered cake surrounded by yummy treats by master chocolatier JuneBsweet was the focal point of the room. I say that the desserts were the focal point, but really the stars of the show were Edna and Mike- as happy a couple as I’ll ever see. Congratulations to you both!

Julie + Edward • September 17, 2016 • Elegant Garden Eastern Shore Wedding
Down a mile-long gravel lane, past the browning late-summer cornfields, I saw a tent top in the distance, popping up above a soy bean field. This tableau so perfectly illustrates why I love garden weddings on the Eastern Shore, and, consequently, why I loved Julie and Edward’s September wedding.
My favorite trifecta of elements were there- location, style and emotion. When you throw in a boatload of love, how could it not be the bees knees of fun?! So, Julie and Edward, my star couple, more than held their own in all this, in fact, they seemed to me to ride a big wave of love right into the moon-lit night.
I loved how sweet Edward was with her, how he stole glances throughout the night at his lady love. I like to think that he loved seeing her smile, her obvious joy in her wedding day and her commitment to him.
And Julie, with a great family supporting her, I loved how she glowed. Can that really have happened or did I imagine it? I believe I know the truth! As most brides know, when you finally get to your wedding day, all the planning is over and blessed relief has set in. I felt that Julie let go of all that “stuff” completely and so totally enjoyed her day that each and every moment was reflected in her expressions. Needless, to say, I loved working with them both!
