Miriam + Tom | June 30, 2018 | The Inn at Huntingfield Creek

Miriam and Tom met in the air- literally on an airplane. I think you always wonder at things that happen this way, by chance. Needless to say, it must have been quite the flight because here we are at their wedding day! With the lovely and peaceful Inn at Huntingfield Creek in Rock Hall, MD as a backdrop, these love birds became husband and wife. A special shout out to their treat of a first dance, called a “ceilidh” which is thankfully pronounced “kay’-lee”, as everyone was in on the fun of swinging their partner. A traditional Scottish dance, and similar to traditional American square dancing, Miriam and Tom had all their family and friends dosey-doeing. After the sweet toasts, the cake and more dancing, everyone surely felt as I did, that it was a wonderful and love-filled wedding experience. Congratulations Miriam and Tom!

Hillary + Doug | St. Michaels Wedding | June 16, 2018

Smiles. That’s what stands out to me about Hillary and Doug’s wedding. That and their so obvious joy at becoming husband and wife. It was a family affair from the start as they chose Doug’s parent’s home on the Eastern Shore as their wedding location. It’s a place, I’m sure, that already has many wonderful memories for him and now he can add his wonderful wedding to his list. The festivities began at their Friday night rehearsal dinner at The Inn at Perry Cabin, a Shore landmark if there ever was one. The waterfront lawn was a fitting backdrop for family and friends to begin the wedding weekend celebration. Saturday, Hillary got ready in a suite at the Inn, eventually arriving at Doug’s Bozman house, ready to become Mrs. Naeve. The look when he saw her coming down the aisle, the looks, the smiles when her dad mixed humor and fond memories into his reception speech, the smiles at their toasts…it all made for a lovely, intimate wedding and it was crowned by a fun and lively post-dinner dance party. Congratulations Hillary and Doug! I’m so happy to have been a small part of your day!

{ Edna + Michael • November 18, 2017 • The Tidewater Inn }

I love a good love story! And Edna and Michael embody the very best of any good love story- the prince and princess find each other and fall in love. Ok, I know that may be a little silly but isn’t it wonderful to find inspiration in two people who choose to spend their lives together? Maybe it’s just me, but seeing the love and joy on Edna and Mike’s faces as they went through each part of their wedding day made me feel head-over-heels great! From Edna’s lacey blush pink wedding dress to Mike’s ever-present smile, to their family and friends’ warm hugs and congratulations, it was a wonderful wedding day!

The Tidewater Inn provided a lovely canvas for the affair, overseen by the creative eye of planner extraordinaire Kari Rider. Tables adorned with gorgeous floral arrangements greeted and wowed guests. A stunner of a dessert table starring a multi-tiered cake surrounded by yummy treats by master chocolatier JuneBsweet was the focal point of the room. I say that the desserts were the focal point, but really the stars of the show were Edna and Mike- as happy a couple as I’ll ever see. Congratulations to you both!
