To say Bethany and Chuck had a lovely, meaning-filled wedding is an understatement in my eyes. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows at the lovely, old Episcopal Church on the main street in St. Michaels, Christ Church. Not only did they enjoy the local clergy but they brought their own priest from Washington’s St. Luke’s with them, Virginia Brown-Nolan. I thought it was a lovely service, enhanced by the kind words of Rev. Brown-Nolan. When it came time for “the peace” I have never seen such warm and loving greetings that all present gave each other. After “jumping the broom” Bethany and Chuck were off by horse-drawn carriage to The Inn and Perry Cabin for cocktails and their celebration. I was so moved by the special presentations during their reception, as Chuck and his fraternity brothers sang a song together, arms tightly around each others backs. This was followed by Bethany, who was serenaded by her sorority sisters, surrounded by their linked hands. After that, Chuck’s brother Chris and his wife shared a solo dance in celebration of his safe return from Afghanistan. All in all, Bethany and Chuck are one of my favorite couples and I look forward to keeping in touch with them as they make their move to points north!

Emily and John {07.04.09}
Emily and John had a beautiful wedding at The Oaks. A stately Inn in Royal Oak, MD, the tree-lined drive welcomed them and their friends as they prepared for their wedding day. Emily wore her mother’s earrings, her sister’s garter and was surrounded by family and friends as she prepared to meet her father for her walk over the white bridge behind The Oaks on her way to being Mrs. Pannucci. After a meaning-filled ceremony presided over by the Rev. Alberta Eaton, the couple sat for their formal pictures and then it was off to the resounding congratulations of their guests. Lovely table centerpieces were done by Carmina at The Pink Orchid in Bowie, MD. The amazing cake, designed by Julie Haines of JulieBakes, was literally covered with sentiments of the day- “best friends, loyalty, kindness, honor, etc.” done completely in white icing. Tears were shed during the toasts but also a lot of laughter as Emily and John heard firsthand what they mean to those closest to them.
Deborah and Sam {June 24, 2009}
Deborah and Sam loved seeing their families watch them make a life commitment to each other. While enjoying a wonderful, comfortable evening on the Miles River at The Inn at Perry Cabin, they basked in the love and support of those closest to them. After a meaningful ceremony, they walked along the shoreline, hand in hand, enjoying the sweet “newness” of being husband and wife.
